The mission of the Department of Marketing is to educate students to function in and adapt to the dynamic marketing environment. To accomplish this mission, faculty will combine effective teaching with quality scholarship and professional service. The faculty will prepare students for professional and ethical marketing practices in a competitive, diverse, and global environment.
Enhance the quality and prestige of the Marketing Department and departmental contributions to graduate and undergraduate programs, faculty, staff, and students.
Recruit, develop, support, and retain high-quality marketing students.
Promote ethnic, gender, and cultural diversity among the marketing department's faculty, staff, and students.
Maintain, expand and improve partnerships with local, state, national, and international constituencies. Initiate new programs and participate in existing programs to solicit external funds to support excellence within the department.
