ACL Live Internship 

Media, Communications & Business Development

Austin City Limits Live (ACL Live) has an ongoing internship program that seeks out highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in interning with the Marketing and Business Development departments. This non-paid internship provides students with the opportunity to work during normal office hours as well as during concerts nights and weekend events. This internship provides exposure to the day-to-day functions of a live music venue.

ACL Live's internship runs in tandem with the normal collegiate calendar (Spring, Summer and Fall semesters). Internship tasks include:

  • Processing marketing and media buy invoices
  • Assembling ad reconciliation for accounting use night of show
  • Flyering/postering in support of shows
  • Creation and execution of social networking posts night of show
  • Maintaining marketing show files and archives
  • Upkeep of general marketing spreadsheets to help track department performance
  • Creating weekly email newsletters
  • Community outreach and hotel concierge relationship building
  • Provide assistance with sponsorship and premium seats - including researching and prospecting
  • Fulfilling, delivering, tracking of ticket orders
  • Tracking sponsor and venue media coverage
  • Brand and artist research
  • Administrative duties
  • Fulfillment of sponsor agreements and promotions
  • Assisting in set up/execution of sponsor activations and Club Level management on event days
  • Special projects as assigned

Student will receive daily instruction and feedback from supervisors in both Marketing and Business Development departments. Supervisors will provide resources (computer, internet, etc.) and handson training for student to accomplish all of the tasks assigned. ACL Live's Media & Communications/Business Development internship is unpaid. Student must receive academic credit/college credit hours to be eligible.
