Position: Marketing Assistant Intern
Duration: Ongoing
Length of Internship: One semester with the possibility to stay on for a paid, second semester. Ideal candidate would be with us for at least one year.
Hays County Physical Therapy and Wellness is a local, direct pay, pelvic health clinic located in San Marcos, TX. We are dedicated to creating a compassionate and safe place for our clients to heal from pelvic floor pain and dysfunction. As one of the only pelvic health clinics in Texas that treats both men and women, we are in a unique position to reach a part of the population that is often overlooked. Being direct pay, we are always looking for innovative and effective ways to market to our target demographic.
Job Description:
This internship would allow a student to create actionable marketing plans under the supervision of our Operations Manager. By the end of the internship, the student has the potential to have created an entire marketing campaign that could be implemented and utilized, giving the student real-work experience and portfolio with published work. The student would also have access to our media marketing group as additional resources for growth and education.
Responsibilities:
- Learn about our vision and mission in order to market our clinic accordingly
- Daily social media posts across our platforms that are on brand and message
- Develop and implement strategy to optimize our social media presence
- Respond to social media posts and online reviews
- Plan topics for weekly broadcasts and bi-monthly blog posts
- Create long term marketing plans and marketing processes for future interns
- Curate a partnership list for our PT’s
- Plan meetups and events for networking
Qualifications:
- A passion for marketing and creating new processes
- A desire to gain real-world experience and portfolio work
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be able to work independently with the discipline and motivation to work without micromanagement
- Knowledge of current social media best practices
- Flexibility to pitch in when needed in the clinic, such as answering phones and greeting patients
- Understanding of graphic design fundamentals - type, color, layout. Branding and graphic design experience is a plus.
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week with a minimum of 10 hours per week to meet the internship requirements for college credit. This internship is unpaid.
