MARKETING INTERN – PART TIME

New York Life Insurance Company is the largest mutual life-insurance company in the United States, and one of the largest life insurers in the world. This position will support of the Austin teams. This team has 15 full-time advisors who help clients will aspects of financial planning with our insurance, retirement, annuity, and investment products.

The primary role of this position will be to connect our advisors and our products to customers and the community. This position has the potential to turn into a full-time offer for the right candidate.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Someone creative who excels in an independent role with minimal supervision

• Must be outgoing and willing to network with community leaders

• GPA: 3.0+

• Pursuing a degree in marketing preferred, but not required

• Financial/Insurance knowledge preferred, but not required

• Ability to work 10-20 hours per week and work out of our West Austin office, schedule is flexible

What you’ll start off doing:

• Research, create, and implement marketing strategies to help introduce our advisors to potential clients

• Set up various networking and community outreach events across the greater Austin area (Round Rock to San Marcos)

• Draft targeted email/direct mail campaigns to expand client’s knowledge of products and services
