JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

Summer Semester Internship Opportunity
Duration: We are seeking an internship with the possibility of a permanent position within our franchise. 
Compensation: Paid internship and course credit provided
Reports to: Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Overall Job Purpose: 
The intern is responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy across company key social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. This role offers the intern a total immersion into a restoration business. This intern would also create visual and written content for our website. This role will help increase our social media presence and gain visibility for our brand among customers. 

 Key Duties: 
 Social Media and Marketing 

  • Assist with streamlining company social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities. 
  • Posting updates to the Company social media accounts (initially under supervision from the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator) 
  •  Increase the number of followers we have on social media accounts by following and engaging with potential customers and candidates aligning with our brand. 
  • Work with Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to implement other channel-specific campaigns (e.g., uploading photos to the company website, videos to YouTube, etc.) 

 Coordinating and Distributing Content 

  • Brainstorming meetings with Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to establish content ideas for the month ahead and plan for a monthly social media, editorial, marketing, and blogging calendar. 
  • Maintain a monthly social media and blogging calendar and ensure that the company maintains a Stage 5 standard aligned with Corporate’s guidelines. 
  • Help create one piece of video content per month and post on YouTube and other channels. 
  • Take and post interesting photos to increase brand awareness.
  • Upload and manage company blog posts in SERVPRONET (initially under supervision from Social Media and Marketing Coordinator). 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Coursework in Social Media Marketing, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, or Media Marketing. 
  • Proven written communication skills and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy. 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills. 
  • An interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management; 
  • Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g., Twitter and Facebook) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel); 
  • Familiarity with creating graphics using resources like Canva, Adobe Spark;
  • An ability to consistently demonstrate our values of insight, hard work, and effectiveness in your personal approach to work; 
  • An entrepreneurial attitude; 
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn; 
  • A proactive, service-focused attitude towards customers and candidates and the teams you support internally; 
  • An ability to remain calm under pressure and a robust/resilient attitude towards challenges; 
  • An ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times; and 
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a team.
