Summer 2023 Internship

This Summer internship will provide a unique opportunity for students to gain experience working with a global company that connects suppliers and retailers of health and beauty products from around the world and manages over $3.2 billion in retail brand volume annually. 

Mr. Scott Emerson, a graduate of Texas State University, founded The Emerson Group over 20 years ago after gaining significant experience in senior management positions with several multinational corporations.  He serves as CEO of the Emerson Group as well as its subsidiaries, Emerson Healthcare and Emerson Marketing.  As a proud Bobcat and 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, Mr. Emerson looks forward to providing opportunities to current Texas State management and marketing majors seeking Summer 2023 internships.  

About the Internship Program:

After making his entry into the business world, Scott Emerson hit on an idea to create an industry around making other businesses better, more efficient and focused on their goals. He brought that vision to life as founder and CEO of the Emerson Group.


He started the company more than 20 years ago, after honing his skills and insight at Johnson & Johnson, Unilever and Novartis Consumer Health. What began as a sales management company has grown to include Emerson Marketing, Emerson Healthcare and Emerson Consulting.

As a student, Emerson was the embodiment of school spirit, showing his Bobcat pride as head cheerleader for two years. He also competed for four years on the varsity track team as a pole vaulter. He was the president of the TKE fraternity and was voted by an all-campus popular vote to Gallardian before graduating in 1975. Throughout his exceptional career, he has supported a multitude of nonprofit, charitable and educational organizations, from the America Cancer Society to the Children's Miracle Network and Texas State University.
